Osram Sylvania (Danvers, MA) is announcing its updated electroluminescent (EL) phosphor product line. EL phosphors respond to an electrical field that excites the powder and causes it to emit light.

Available in blue, blue-green and green, Sylvania High-Brite EL phosphors offer up to 25% higher light output than standard phosphors.

The company’s improved standard EL phosphors have an increased brightness and are offered in blue, blue-green and green. The new version of economy EL phosphor products offers increased brightness and are available in blue, blue-green, green, orange and white. The phosphors can used for various indoor and outdoor applications that include handheld electronics, retail lighting, keypad lighting, monochrome LCDs, emergency lights or general signage.
