Heis S.A., a manufacturer of self-adhesive vinyl, with headquarters in France, supports long-term environmental protection by investing $520,000 in the installation of a high-temperature incinerator.

The incinerator operation allows the company to comply with the latest environmental regulations and improve most statutory tolerances.

The incinerator operates as a thermal oxidizer at temperatures between 1,500° and 1,800° F and completely eliminates waste rejections of VOCs, mostly solvents, used in the production process. Only steam and small amount of carbon dioxide are released. The generated heat helps stabilize the temperature in the factory building.

Hexis manufactures graphic vinyl and digital-printing media for signmaking and vehicle markings. The company owns two manufacturing sites and exports more than 40% of its turnover in more than 40 countries, while enjoying sales of $37 million in 2006. Hexis has a subsidiary in Corona, CA, with affiliate companies in Italy, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom.
