Image Microsystems MicroStrate Sign Substrate

Made from recycled printer cartridges, computer housings

Microstrate™, a sign substrate made from recycled “dirty” plastic from used printer cartridges and computer and printer housings, was named “Coolest Green Product” at the 2011 ISA Sign Expo in Las Vegas this year. Image Microsystems (Austin, TX) recently launched the substrate, which is as durable as aluminum, less subject to theft, and keeps plastics out of landfills, the company says. Image Microsystems is a provider of technology restoration, reverse logistics, e-waste recycling, and recycled-plastic products manufacturing.
