Hexis debuts topcoat for printed or cast media

Hexis SA (Frontignan, France) is debuting PC30M2, a 1.2-mil, matte-finish, cast overlaminate that’s designed for printed or full-color, cast vinyls adhered to curved or corrugated surfaces. The product is designed to accommodate growing demand for digitally printed, unique, matte-finish details and accents. The thin laminate will also facilitate efficient installation on any substrate surface, the company reports.

The laminate comprises a polyethylene-coated release liner that combines a clear, acrylic, solvent-based adhesive with a UV filter that providers color-fade and abrasion protection. Hexis gives PC30M2 a three-to-five-year outdoor rating, and it sells the topcoat in 55-yd.-long, 54-in.-wide rolls.
