Outdoor LED Display

Electro-Matic Products Inc. (Farmington Hills, MI) is announcing its 4U2SEE Outdoor LED displays. The line of electronic message centers features tri-color capabilities (red, green and amber), with an average reported lifetime of 60,000 hours. The display can show two lines of 5.5-in.-high characters or one line of 12.5-in-high characters. A high-impact, nonglare Lexan polycarbonate face grants optimal visibility, the company reports.

In addition to the standard RS232 or RS 485 communication options, this display also has an Ethernet port that provides connectivity options. Optionally, a handheld remote programmer, several RF communication options and an external temperature probe are available. Four aluminum cabinet sizes are offered.

Sigma 3000 software allows users to create and edit messages; set play mode, color and speed; manage messages; set up the message-download display schedule; view messages before sending them to the sign with the simulator; and save messages and schedules for future use. Special features include 48 display modes; built-in display testing; the AVI file imports and downloads new fonts; add special fonts and modify existing ones; insert time and temperature; and control the message file display with a simple user interface.
