You get what you pay for.

It’s a truth as old as time, but one often learned the hard way. Such was the case for Te Zhaoyan, who explained how his $1630 car wrap was epically botched in a Facebook post that went supernova, collecting 600-plus comments and 1.6K shares.

An automotive content creator on TikTok called Tsuri – who’s a vinyl installer – also made a series of videos about the “outstandingly bad” wrap job, which amassed more than 3 million views, AsiaOne writes.

Images on the social media platforms showed Zhaoyan’s car covered in scratches and air bubbles. Additionally, rubber seals on the doors and windows were cut, as Tsuri documents in her videos.

Zhaoyan says the shop offered to redo the job, but he declined. He instead took his car to Tsuri’s shop, Vos Automotive Styling (Singapore), which re-wrapped the car to client satisfaction.

“All in all, I really hope people will take something home from this and avoid going for cheap amateurish work. … Really, it pays to have a peace of mind,” Zhaoyan wrote.
