Samsung Electronics America (Ridgefiled Park, NJ), a subsidiary of Samsung Electronics Corp., introduced the DR Serires outdoor LCD display line. Designed to handle the brightest outdoor conditions, the company says, the series includes the 460DR, 460DRn and 460DRn-A.

With a brightness level of 1,500 nits and a static contrast ratio of 3,500:1, the DR Series clearly displays content in direct sunlight. Featuring Samsung’s SPVA LCD panel technology, the DR Series also delivers image quality and 178/178° viewing angles. The DR Series is suitable for store window installations or outdoor venues.

The 460DR standalone panel can be integrated into any cabinet or in-wall installation. The 460DRn provides an embedded PC, offering network connectivity through which the display can be managed and content delivery. The 460DRn-A is a floor-standing weatherproof and dustproof cabinet, ready for most outdoor installations. The model features an HVAC and filtration system , which enable it to withstand weather conditions from -22° to 109° F and up to 90% humidity. The 460DRn-A also features an embedded PC, integrated touch and stereo sound system.
