Sign MFG Day 2023 to Feature 106 Companies

The International Sign Association (ISA; Alexandria, VA) has announced that Sign MFG Day 2023 will feature 106 participating companies from around the world, all opening their manufacturing facilities to highlight careers in signs, graphics, and visual communications to students on Oct. 6 — according to a press release from the association. 

Since ISA developed the program in 2015, hundreds of companies have used the day to showcase careers in the industry. Many have gone on to hire students they met at the event, or to deepen relationships with local high school, vocational and community colleges, per the statement.

“This is one of ISA’s most successful responses to the work shortage,” Lori Anderson, ISA president and CEO is quoted in the release. “Students often do not know about the tremendous career opportunities in our industry and the vibrant work that we do. Often, when companies share what they do, students want to join. Some have even completed applications on the spot.”

ISA provides the tools for companies to participate. While the event is typically held the first Friday each October, companies choose to participate at different times to accommodate work schedules and local school schedules. Those interested in learning more should visit signs.org/mfgday.
