Jacob Rieskamp Signs of the Times May 2008 Issue

Onsrud Cutter (Libertyville, IL) is debuting solid-carbide bits that allow CNC routers to cut stainless steel. According to the company, the bits’ unique cutting geometry and costing allows stainless-steel machining for signage and exhibits. The tools are sold in 1⁄8-, 3⁄16-, ¼- and 3⁄8-in. diameters and withstand spindle speeds from 6,000 to 18,000 rpm.
