To include buses, railroads and stations this summer

As part of its expansion of Traffic Audit Bureau for Media Measurement (TAB) Out of Home Ratings, TAB has announced plans to release its first measurements of transit media in 11 markets, beginning this summer. This soft rollout will encompass bus exterior advertising, interior advertising for buses and rail, and displays in stations. The 11 major DMAs covered will be: Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Dallas-Ft. Worth, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, New York, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Portland, OR and Washington, DC.

“This is the most significant rollout of new measurement since the beginning of TAB Out of Home Ratings in 2010,” said Joe Philport, president & CEO, of TAB.

The measurement of advertising on bus exteriors required TAB to develop an innovative method for measuring the audiences for advertising that moves throughout a market. The new system will also provide measurement for other forms of moving advertising, such as mobile billboards. For more information, visit www.tabonline.com.
