The United States Sign Council (USSC) has announced the three recipients of its annual scholarship program. This year’s $1,000 scholarship recipients are:
Mary Kate McCrystal (Valrico, FL), sponsored by Creative Sign Designs (Tampa). She will study graphic design at Flagler College in Florida.
Hayley Niland (Paramus, NJ), sponsored by Niland Signs. She will study advertising/marketing at Purdue University.
Dan Whalen (Frankfort, IL), sponsored by Matthews Paint/Spraylat. He will study marketing at Butler University.
Each year, the USSC Board of Directors sets aside 1% of the gross revenues from Sign World International tradeshow to fund these scholarships.
Students can renew their scholarships for an additional three years, for a total scholarship of $4,000. USSC can have as many as 12 recipients. Over the past two decades, USSC has helped 63 students with more than $200,000 in scholarships.
