Vehicle Graphics Project of the Day: Easy Being Green

Many current college students are focused on ways to be “green” and support environmental causes. Studio Green, which operates rental housing for University of Delaware students, incorporates recycled and energy-efficient materials into its facilities’ construction.

To promote its environmentally oriented theme, Studio Green ordered vehicle wraps to decorate GEM E4 electric cars for promotion throughout the university’s community. Monster Media Inc. (Riverside, CA) fabricated the wrap using 3M’s Controltac IJ180 film, and Wilmington, DE’s Signs Now franchise installed the graphics. Franchise owner Mark Carlson said the GEM’s extreme contours made installation of the 84 sq. ft. of graphics challenging: “We had to remove the trunk, door and rear fenders and install the graphics on a table in the shop.”
