Despite the well-documented benefits exercise provides for physical fitness, U.S. obesity statistics continually paint a grim picture of our overall health. Therefore, health-club owners must market to lure couch potatoes inside. Large chains, such as Bally’s and L.A. Fitness, can afford mass-media advertising buys, but smaller entities must spend wisely on advertising.

Peak Fitness USA, which operates two, 24-hour gym and spa locations in Rockford and Loves Park, IL, hired Rockford-based Signs Now #111 to fabricate a 130-sq.-ft. Hummer wrap. Designs Dave DeCastris formulate the design using Adobe’s Creative Suite 3 onhis Mac, and the shop fabricated the graphics using 3M Graphics Market Center Controltac IJ180-10C v2 film with Comply air-egress technology and 8518 glossy overlaminate. To print the job, the shop used its Seiko I Infotech — Americas ColorPainter 64s with Triangle Digital INX Co. inks.
