Walker Companies Celebrates 70th Anniversary

Started in 1951, the company reflects upon changes made during 70 years of business.

Walker Companies (Oklahoma City, OK) is commemorating its 70th year in business. The third-generation company (originally Walker Stamp & Pencil Co.) was founded in 1951 by Kenneth and Bobbie Walker, and has undergone several name and product changes as they have continually evolved with the times. After several address changes, the company found its permanent home at 121 NW 6th St. in 1975.

Walker Companies provides interior and exterior signage, promotional items, awards, apparel, tradeshow displays, wide format printing, name badges and ADA signage, as well as stamps and seals, and full-service notary public application. The pandemic of 2020 caused the company to pivot and they began producing custom PPE products: sneeze guards, floor graphics, wall graphics, face masks and more.

“Being in business 70 years is not something many companies celebrate. We have been very blessed. But we have grown and prospered by always looking to the future for new products or better solutions for our customers and we plan to continue to follow that path for many years to come,” said Kenny Walker, owner of Walker Companies.
