Weldcraft’s Flex-Neck Torches

Published

on

Weldcraft (Appleton, WI) is offering the WP-9, WP-17 and WP-26 series of air-cooled TIG torches that feature an optional, flex-neck model for welding applications with limited joint access and/or difficult joint angles. Valved versions can be used with power sources that don’t have gas solenoids.
WP-9F and WP-9FV torches, which are designed for welding thin-gauge (up to 0.25-in.) materials, offer 125A DC and 100A AC welding capacity at 60% duty cycle. The torches’ lightweight body facilitates control when tackling hard-to-reach joints.
Also, the WP-17F and WP-17FV TIG torches provide 150A DC and 115A AC welding capacity on thin- to medium-gauge materials. These torches are offered in 12.5- and 25-ft., one- or two-piece cable lengths. Multiple accessory kits, cable covers and extension kits are available.
The WP-26F and WP-26FV, both 200A DC/150A AC torches (based on 60% duty-cycle rating) are suitable for heavy-duty, continuous-welding applications with limited joint access, and like the WP-9 and WP-17 models, are designed to adjust to any angle.
All models feature air-cooling capabilities that, the company states, eliminate the need and expense of water-cooled systems.
