The American Sign Museum (Cincinnati) is presenting Back to the Drawing Board: The Art of the Sign Sketch 1925 – 1975 on view March 12 to June 11, according to a press release.

Comprising over 75 sign sketches from the museum’s permanent collection and on loan from private collections, the self-organized exhibition brings 50 years of sketches from across the country together to explore the artistry of the signmaking process through objects that are typically headed for the trash after their usefulness has ended.

Visitors can view the exhibition during the museum’s normal hours of operation of 10 a.m.-4 p.m., Wednesdays to Sundays. Admission to the exhibition is included with regular admission to the museum. An opening celebration will be held March 12 from 6-8 p.m. Additional programs inspired by the exhibition will take place during the course of the show, including a panel discussion between the museum and professors from the University of Cincinnati’s College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning on March 25 at 7 p.m.
