Britten Inc. (Traverse City, MI) has announced a multi-year agreement to serve as the official signage provider for the Big Ten Conference. Per the contract, Britten will produce large-format graphics for arenas and venues that will host all 25 conference championships during the upcoming academic year. Although the graphics requirements at each event will vary, Britten VP Peter White said the company’s HP Turbo Jet and HP Scitex XL Jet inkjet printers will play an integral role in fabricating the signage, as will its screenprinting and textile-printing equipment. Britten operates a 120,000-sq.-ft. facility in Traverse City, and a 65,000-sq.-ft. plant in Grand Rapids, MI.

“This arrangement will bring our event-décor and sponsorship-signage expertise into the college market,” he said. “And, considering we’re crazy about Big Ten sports, this will be a lot of fun.”
