The broken Bangor Mall sign in the city of Bangor, ME has been removed, the Bangor Daily News reports.

Bangor Mall owner Namdar Realty Group tore down the sign at the corner of Hogan Road and Bangor Mall Boulevard on Monday, Oct. 13 after being sued by the city, leaving behind only the signposts.

The sign with missing letters and broken electronics was one of the company’s many city code violations. Namdar originally planned to repair the sign in January, but following months of trying to figure out who owned the land around the sign, the company decided to demolish the sign instead.
