Federal Heath Receives Chili’s Partnership Award

Federal Heath Sign Co, (Euless, TX) recently received Chili’s Restaurants’ (Brinker Intl.) Partnership Excellence award in recognition of the long relationship between the two companies, which dates back to the early 1960s. Federal Heath (then known as Liberty Sign Co.) produced the first sign for Norman Brinker’s Brink’s Coffee Shop in Dallas.
Presenting the award on behalf of Brinker, Sherry Prather, director of materials purchasing, said that “Federal Heath strives to present the latest technology in the world of exterior signage. In doing so, they have done a great job keeping our brands relevant and keeping our costs down.”
Accepting the award, Federal Heath’s President and CEO Kevin Stotmeister said that it’s easy to take business partnerships for granted, especially during good times. But to maintain the strength, trust and solidarity of those relationships during down times is often much harder. “At Federal Heath, we have a vision of leading our industry by providing our clients the highest value, quality, speed and flexibility with our products and services. I hope this recognition suggests that we’ve realized that vision with our very best customer,” Stotmeister said.
Federal Heath Sign Co. supplies custom electric signage to high-profile companies in the retail, restaurant, hotel, finance, petroleum, automotive, corporate-identification and gaming markets. Federal Heath has more than 20 offices nationwide, including four manufacturing facilities.
Joe Dunavan, Federal Heath’s salesperson for Brinker  for more than 30 years, said David Oliver served as the original account salesperson. Built in 1964, the building exemplifies Googie, mid-century architecture and signage. The Dallas restaurant’s horse theme, which appeared in the pole sign, was inspired by restaurateur Norman Brinker’s equestrian interest (he was on the 1952 Olympic equestrian team). Sheetmetal, neon-illuminated channel letters identified the coffeeshop.
