4The Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race begins on MARCH 4. Known simply as “the Iditarod,” the long-distance race runs from Anchorage to Nome, AK. Established in 1973, the annual test of best sled-dog mushers and teams of 12-14 dogs is highly competitive.

8-9 Holi, the Festival of Colors and an ancient Hindu tradition, is celebrated MARCH 8-9. The two-day festival, recognizable by all of the ‘gulal’ (colored powder) thrown about as a symbol of joy and love, is also a way to welcome spring.

14 tips off the start of March Madness, the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Tournament, with the Women’s side starting the following day. Who doesn’t love filling out their brackets with their favorites making it all the way to the Final Four?

22 American Red Cross Giving Day is observed every fourth Wednesday in March. This year, it falls on MARCH 22. Consider asking the whole company to donate to the newly formed Red Cross “Sign Artists” group. More information can be found at signsofthetimes.com/032305.
