Loftin & Co. Printers (Charlotte, NC) is acquiring Action Graphics (Charlotte, NC) in a move expected to be completed by mid-July, according to a press release from both companies. Action Graphics, a 41-year-old local printer, will merge with Loftin & Co. Printers, founded in 1898, to create a company with 165 years of combined experience.

The combined companies will offer traditional offset printing, digital printing, mailing, print design and wide format products. The companies will be based at Loftin’s 23,000-sq.-ft. facility in Charlotte. All employees of both companies will be staying on board, with no layoffs — per the press release.

“I have known Bill Loftin for a very long time, and we both come from generations of printers… we have ink in our blood,” Action Graphics owner David Perlman is quoted in the release. “When I got a purchase offer on our current building, I began looking for the right company to provide top quality to our customers, and an excellent working environment for my employees. Loftin & Co. topped the list.”

“When David called me, I was excited about the new opportunities this created for my employees and our customers,” Bill Loftin, owner of Loftin & Co. is also quoted. “The strengths of both our companies complement each other very well. Action Graphics will be bringing their experienced staff, along with most of their equipment, to join us here creating one of the strongest teams of printing professionals in Charlotte.”
