Minicom Digital Signage Launches AVDS Remote, Long-Distribution Solution

Takes content from a single media player and transmits it to multiple screens, via CAT5 infrastructure

Minicom Digital Signage (Linden, NJ) has introduced the Audio Video Display System (AVDS) Remote Long, which is suitable for applications that require point-to-multi-point distribution of audio and video over longer distances up to 250m/825 ft. from the player to display devices. It supports resolutions up to 1,080p, full HD, with integrated skew correction, a secure, locking power connector and built-in mounting brackets.

AVDS reduces takes content from a single media player (which saves licensing costs) and transmits it to multiple screens, via CAT5 infrastructure, without burdening the IT network. AVDS allows players to be located in the server room, which facilitates maintenance, system stability, installation and scalability.
