ShopBot Tools Inc. (Durham, NC) and Vectric (Worcestershire, England), a CNC software developer, are creating PartWorks and PartWorks3D. PartWorks design and toolpathing software and PartWorks3D milling software – included with every ShopBot CNC system – replace ShopBot’s previous design package.

The user-friendly CAD/CAM PartWorks allows users to design and create ShopBot Part Files, ready to cut on any ShopBot CNC system. PartWorks features accurate design tools, impressive toolpathing functionality and detailed, 3-D previews in a simple, intuitive interface, the company states.

PartWorks3D creates 3-D cutting files from models created in a 3-D modeling program, downloaded from the web, or scanned from an existing part. Models can be machined with one, two or four sides, or sliced to create more depth.
