JANUARY IS THE month when many of us try something new or different. This January, Signs of the Times is doing something new and different.

I direct you to page 19 for Production Management by Jameson Parker, production manager for North American Signs (South Bend, IN). This new monthly column in our ST Products section will focus on the myriad details related to sign production.

Also new on page 36 is the first bimonthly column on Design by Russell Toynes, co-owner | creative director of Studio Dzo (Austin, TX), which will cover topics important to contemporary sign design. We’re glad to have you writing for us, Russell and Jameson!

And: something different. Beginning this year, Signs of the Times will be published 10 times per year instead of monthly. We will have combined July/August and November/December issues. Before I go a-quotin’ my hero Bob Dylan about the times a-changin’ — oops, too late — we at Signs of the Times feel the time has come for this change. Every business changes over the years, especially so many. We’re celebrating our 120th anniversary in May.

Our website signsofthetimes.com has become the home of our news coverage and additional articles — ones readers often send our way — that we no longer run in print. But our site also has everything in the magazine both as a digital edition and as regular posts.

Oh, we’re absolutely here for sign companies — ain’t no “still” about it. For the next 120 years we’ll be where and when you need us.
