KABA Corp. (Merrimack, NH) is presenting its Kaba Clear peel-and-stick bird-control tape. The tape operates on the same principles as electric barbed wire. The red PVC liner is removed to expose the 3M 4910 pressure-sensitive adhesive base. The tape bonds aggressively to painted or bare metal; glass; asphalt shingles; terra cotta and unified surfaces that are clean, stable, dry and above 45°. Aluminum jumper wire, which comprises a 20-gauge solid strand in a twisted-pair arrangement with a thick, PVC-insulation jacket that’s rated to 20,000V, hooks the tapes together. Reels contain 100 ft. of the wire. The wire connector is easily crimped in place.

To insure long-lasting connections and installer convenience, the aluminum sleeves are pre-loaded with an anti-oxidant paste. Because the paste stains clothes permanently, a 50-count vial of wipe rags is included. The tape comes standard with a satin-finish top; a gloss finish is available for glass.
