LEDSOLAR LED Fluorescent T8 Tube

SMD LED fluorescent tube uses HB SMD LEDs

Ledsolar (Shenzhen, China), a manufacturer of LED fluorescent tubes, is introducing the SMD LED fluorescent T8 tube, model LS-SFT8N. The acrylic front cover is less breakable than the glass it replaces. A polished, aluminum back cover assures better heat dissipation. The tube uses HB SMD LEDs. Fully RoHs compliant, the tube can be run without an existing ballast/starter. The forward voltage of the SMD LED is 3-3.3V. A top driver changes AC into DC. The maximum voltage the tube can work with is 300VAC. (A ballast can rise voltage to 500VAC or higher.) To install the LED tube, the existing ballast and starter must be removed. The model saves more than 70% energy compared to conventional 40W fluorescent tube, the company says. Ledsolar uses Lumileds, Cree white LEDs.
