FORTNIGHT 1: JULY 1-18

ANALYSIS In July, Lynsey Washington says Signarama Lancaster, PA (and many other companies) will be focusing on the halfway point of the year. “We’ll evaluate our progress to date and determine what we need to adjust or continue doing to ensure we stay on track for the second half of the year and ultimately meet our annual goals,” says one of the ST 2026 Women in Signs Award winners.

FORTNIGHT 2: JULY 19-31

SEASONAL “July is about staying visible and responsive during a busy but scattered season,” says Dennis Schaub, FastTrack Signs (Bellefontaine, OH). Weekly priorities include consistent social media posting, quick turnaround on estimate requests and staying top-of-mind with local businesses through direct outreach.

MARKETING New school budgets are out, according to Ted DeWitt, Signarama Covina (Covina CA). “Time to follow up on quotes we did for all our schools or school district offices,” he says. “Then make that sales call showing past projects to get new projects for the coming year.”

FORTNIGHT 3: AUG 1-15

RECRUITMENT On the subject of schools, call your local high school and inform them that you offer internship programs. Not there yet? Look into hosting a Sign Manufacturing Day event for area students Oct. 2. More info on the ISA-sponsored event at signs.org/events/mfgday.

FORTNIGHT 4: AUG 16-31

SEO Peppur Chambers, Collaborative Sign & Design (Gilbert, AZ), will comb through their webpages and online presence to make sure they’re consistent across all the channels. It’s like when she was a bookkeeper and had to create new file folders for the upcoming tax season and archive old files. “You hated doing it but it had to be done,” she says.
