4 Wildlife Conservation Day, spreads awareness of protecting our natural world. Enacted in 2012 by former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, the observance strives to put an end to wildlife crime and to support endangered species.

9 If you haven’t already, National Christmas Card Day on DECEMBER 9 marks a good reminder to gather and send cards to all of your clients, preferred vendors and company friends. Many people still highly value sending and receiving cards.

17 We observe the 120th anniversary of powered flight on DECEMBER 17 with Wright Brothers Day. Dayton, OH’s Orville and Wilbur Wright both flew their invention, the first airplane, in 1903 near Kitty Hawk, NC. One wonders what they would think of air travel now…

21 Finally, for those ill-suited for the holidays, relish National Humbug Day on DECEMBER 21. Named after Charles Dickens’ character from A Christmas Carol, Ebenezer Scrooge’s favorite saying, enjoy your day so the rest can enjoy theirs upcoming. Happy holidays!
