Starbak (Burlington, MA), a provider of enterprise video portals and integrated networks for the education, corporate, healthcare and government markets, announced the availability of its HD-display engine to support its digital-signage application. The display engine, available with Starbak’s V3 platform, enables organizations to extend their existing, desktop-based video communications to reach audiences in high traffic, common areas. Organizations can deploy the network to provide passive viewing of training classes, public-service announcements, CEO addresses and other corporate communications at multiple branches or locations.

Starbak V3 is a fully integrated, enterprise video portal and network solution that can scale to support small college campuses as well as global corporate networks. Starbak V3 includes the Video Portal, Video Capture, Enterprise Content Delivery Network and HD Digital Signage. In addition, Starbak V3 is compatible with the company’s patented solutions for capturing and streaming video from any IP-based videoconferencing endpoint. With this application, publishers can create playlists of live and on-demand video assets and allow distribution to any number of TVs, LCDs and plasma screens for passive, “anywhere” viewing areas, including lobbies, factories, cafeterias and conference rooms.
