Electrified Cover Safeguard (NYC) is offering its eponymous, onsite, real-time stray-voltage warning system that warns the public, workers and pets of a potential electrocution hazard if a manhole, utility box, utility pole or street light should become dangerously electrified. The safeguard, which produces a visual and/or audible warning, can be incorporated into utility poles, luminaires, manhole covers, casements and utility boxes. Existing structures can be retrofitted with auxiliary safeguard units. The warning systems can also communicate with the utility to indicate the problem’s origin.
